Plan the experience, not just the appearance
The best bathroom for your home is one that fits the way you use it. That may mean a more practical shower, useful storage, easier access or replacing a room that has become tired and awkward.
The completed Pureflo bathroom shown above brings together a glazed shower, tiled walls, a wood-finish vanity and an illuminated mirror. Use it as inspiration, then tell us which practical details and finishes matter for your own room.
Begin with the room you have
Send photographs of the existing bathroom, approximate room dimensions and a description of what you want to change. Tell us whether you want to keep the current layout or move fixtures, and whether this is the home’s only bathroom.
Moving a basin, shower or toilet can involve more than changing the visible fitting. Pipe routes, drainage, floor construction and access need consideration. A design can be a useful starting point, but the installation must be assessed in the actual property.
Make the hot water part of the conversation
A new shower or additional bathroom can change what you expect from the hot water system. Discuss the proposed outlets and how they may be used at the same time.
Where appropriate, the project can include a discussion about cylinder installation, boiler replacement or wider plumbing alterations. Equipment should not be specified on appearance alone or before the existing system has been understood.
A written scope protects the finished result
Before work begins, agree which fittings are being installed, who supplies them and what preparatory work is needed. Clarify responsibility for tiling, electrical work, ventilation, plastering, decoration and disposal. Some projects need other trades; those arrangements should be explicit.
Also discuss access, how the property will be left during the work and any period when the bathroom will be unavailable. If deliveries or customer-supplied products affect the schedule, identify those dependencies before agreeing dates.
Budget around the whole job
We do not publish a misleading fixed bathroom price. The layout, product choices, condition of the existing room and agreed finishing work all influence the quotation. A clear scope makes it easier to compare proposals and decide where your budget should go.
Share the budget range you are considering, together with any priorities that matter most. That helps frame a realistic discussion without promising a design or installation that has not been assessed.
