A treatment for the right problem
Poor circulation and contamination can affect a heating system, but not every heating fault calls for a power flush. Radiators that heat unevenly, repeated circulation problems or concerns raised during other heating work are reasons to investigate, not a diagnosis on their own.
Pureflo offers power flushing in Guildford, Woking and its wider Surrey service area. Our gallery includes a power-flushing setup from one of our jobs, alongside boiler and cylinder work.
What power flushing is intended to address
Power flushing uses specialist equipment to circulate cleaning fluid through a suitable heating system to help remove deposits and contamination. The proposed method needs to reflect the system’s condition and the problem being addressed.
It cannot repair a failed component or make unsuitable pipework sound. Existing leaks, weak fittings and other defects may require attention separately. A conversation about likely benefits should also explain the limitations and any preparatory work.
Start with a useful description
Tell us which radiators are affected and whether the issue occurs throughout the home. Include the boiler make and model if known, the approximate number of radiators and whether the system has been altered or cleaned before.
It is helpful to know if the heating takes longer than it used to, whether hot water is also affected and whether there are visible leaks. Please avoid opening appliance covers or disturbing pipework to gather information. Our cold radiator guide has a short observation checklist.
What to agree in the quotation
The scope should identify the system being treated, any required access and the expected interruption to heating. Discuss whether related repairs, protective measures or follow-up checks are included.
Pureflo’s published guide starts at £580, excluding VAT, subject to consultation. This is not a universal fixed price: radiator count, system condition, access and any associated repairs affect the quotation. Ask for the total including any applicable VAT and a written description of what is included before booking.
A small straightforward system and a larger one with difficult access can involve different work. We do not promise a fixed energy saving. The aim is a clear explanation of the proposed treatment and why it is suitable for your situation.
Flushing alongside other heating work
If you are arranging a boiler installation, system preparation should be discussed as part of the overall plan and the appliance manufacturer’s requirements. That does not mean every replacement needs exactly the same cleaning method.
If the problem turns out to be a control, valve or other repair issue, heating fault investigation may be the more relevant route. Our power flushing guide helps you prepare questions before booking.
