Plumbing & heating services

Practical help for the plumbing problems at home.

From a visible leak to an everyday fixture that is no longer working properly, tell Pureflo what has gone wrong and where you need us.

Small faults still deserve a proper explanation

A dripping connection, unreliable toilet or tap that no longer works properly can interrupt everyday life. Some plumbing problems are obvious; others need investigation before the source and the repair can be established.

Pureflo offers plumbing call-outs across Guildford, Woking and the surrounding service area. Start by describing the problem rather than trying to choose a repair yourself. Ryan can discuss what information is needed and current availability.

Leaks: describe the source and the effect

Tell us where water is appearing, whether it is continuous and whether the problem changes when a particular fixture is used. A wider photograph helps show the location; a closer picture may show the affected fitting. Do not dismantle a joint just to take a better photograph.

If water is spreading, isolate the supply only if you can do so safely using a valve you can identify. Keep away from affected electrics. If there is immediate danger, use the appropriate emergency service rather than waiting for an email reply.

A stain or damp patch does not prove that the visible point is the source of a leak. We cannot promise a diagnosis from an image, but good information helps establish the next step.

Taps, toilets and everyday fittings

For a faulty fixture, describe what happens during use. Include any brand or model that is readily visible, and say whether the problem is new or longstanding. Replacement parts and access can differ considerably between fittings.

If you are considering replacing a fixture rather than repairing it, mention that in the enquiry. The condition of connections, compatibility and the surrounding finishes may affect the work. Ask for the quotation to state what is included and any making-good that is outside the scope.

When the job is part of something bigger

A recurring problem or renovation may justify reviewing more than one fitting. Pureflo also provides bathroom installation and whole-house plumbing. Tell us if a repair is temporary while a larger project is being planned.

For problems involving radiators, the heating system or hot water storage, our heating repairs and cylinder services pages explain the information that is useful.

Guide pricing for plumbing visits

Our published service list gives a weekday rate of £99 per hour, excluding VAT, for Monday–Friday between 8am and 5pm. The listed weekend rate is £135 per hour, excluding VAT. These are guides rather than a confirmed booking or a quotation for your particular fault.

Before arranging a visit, confirm availability, the minimum charge, whether parts or materials are additional and the full total including any applicable VAT. Weekend attendance is by arrangement; Sunday is normally closed. Larger repairs and installation work may need a tailored quotation rather than an hourly estimate.

Arrange a plumbing visit

The published weekday hours are 8am–5pm. Call to discuss a time-sensitive fault and confirm availability; this is not an advertised 24-hour emergency service. If it can wait, prepare an enquiry including your postcode and the best number to reach you. A visit or quotation is confirmed only when agreed directly.

Common questions

Before you book.

Questions about your particular home?
Talk to Ryan →

Can you attend today?
Availability varies with the job and location. Call to explain the problem and check; no same-day or 24-hour attendance is guaranteed.
Should I turn off the water if something is leaking?
If you can safely identify and reach the appropriate stop tap or isolation valve, turning off the supply may limit damage. Do not force an unfamiliar valve or approach electrical hazards.
What should I send for a plumbing quotation?
Include your postcode, what is leaking or not working, when it started and clear photographs taken safely. Mention access restrictions and whether the water has been isolated.
